Humane California Fundraiser

Karen held her Humane California fundraiser over the weekend. We had a strong turnout, raised $1350 for California’s 2008 “Yes on Prop 2″ campaign, and met a lot of new people. Karen and I are grateful to have such a wonderful group of friends and family who so eagerly shared their time and money for a cause very important to us. We can’t thank you enough.

Humane California - Yes on Prop 2Karen, my wonderful wife, likes protecting animals. She has been working hard on a California ballot initiative that would ban certain types of crates for egg-laying hens, veal, and pregnant pigs. I have never seen her work so hard on anything. She spends every free moment on this project that is so very important to her.

July 4th Weekend

We had Ben, Ryan, and Jake over again – they really enjoy visiting us and the dogs, and we sure love having them. We saw Wall-E, had pizza and ice cream, did other kid stuff. (It Seems they eat pizza and ice cream every time they visit.) On July 4th Nicole Mirrasoul and Mike met me and Mike for dinner at Mimi’s Cafe in Mira Mesa:

Jim Palmer’s Day

Jim’s day was spent at Harrah’s Rincon in Valley Center with Gingie and Karen – I think he had fun. First a buffet and then a concert at Harrah’s open air “theater” with Crosby, Stills and Nash. Here are the pictures:
